The Crows Nest

The Crow's Nest is perched atop The Cypress Inn Restaurant, Tuscaloosa's premiere casual, river-front dining destination. With views on three sides of the Black Warrior River in combination with southern-inspired dishes that made The Cypress Inn famous, The Crows Nest is the perfect venue for hosting up to 45 family members, guests, friends or business associates.

The Crows Nest is available for lunch and dinner.

Capacity

 The Crows Nest will accomodate up to 45 guests.

Catering

The Crows Nest is ideal for a variety of food service styles including seated, buffet, family-style and pre-set service. Guests may order from the menu or you can create a special menu your guests are sure to love. The Crows Nest comes equipped with a bar, 50" television and projector screen. 

 

No outside food vendors, caterers, or beverages (including alcohol) allowed with the exception of specialty cakes. There is a $15 cake cutting fee.

For parties of less than 25, guests may select items off of the restaurant menu. For parties of 25 or more guests, we can create a limited menu or buffet for you.

If alcohol is desired, we suggest a bartender for parties with 25 or more guests. For parties with 35 or more guests, a bartender is required at the cost of $100.

​

Gratuity of 20% on food and alcohol is assessed in addition to taxes of 9%. 15 minutes decorating time allowed prior to event start time.

Room Rental Rates

Lunch

Monday through Sunday, 11 AM - 4 PM (any two hours)

  • $75 for the First Two Hours, $40 for Each Additional Hour

  • No Mimimum Food and Beverage Spend

  • Gratuity of 20% on food and alcohol is assessed in addition to taxes of 9%

  • 15 Minutes Decorating Time Allowed

Dinner

Sunday through Thursday, 5 PM - 9 PM (any two hours)

  • $100 for the First Two Hours, $40 for Each Additional Hour

  • No Minimum Food and Beverage Spend

  • Gratuity of 20% on food and alcohol is assessed in addition to taxes of 9%

  • 15 Minutes of Decorating Time Allowed

Dinner

Friday and Saturday, 5 PM - 7 PM or 8 PM - 10 PM

  • $100 for the First Two Hours, $40 for Each Additional Hour

  • $500 Minimum Food and Beverage Spend

  • Gratuity of 20% on food and alcohol is assessed in addition to taxes of 9%

  • 15 Minutes of Decorating Time Allowed

Included in Rental Fee: Tables, Chairs, Linens, Set Up, Break Down, Clean Up

Deposit & Payment
  • Rental Fee and Signed Contract Required to Reserve Date and Time

  • Rental Fee is Non-Refundabled

  • One Check for Parties of 20 or More Guests

Cancellations
  • Event May Be Rescheduled Within 72 Hours of Event Date Without Penalty

  • No Refund on Rental Fee if Cancelled

Alcohol
  • All Alcohol Must be Provided and Served by The Cypress Inn Restaurant in Compliance with State Law

  • Absolutely NO ALCOHOL May be Brought On Premise

  • Bar Set Up Required for Parties with 35 or More Guests

  • Bar Set Up Includes Bartender, Plastic Serving Ware, Cocktail Napkins, Mixers & Garnishes

  • You May Choose from Cash Bar, Open Bar or a Combination of the Two

  • Bar Set Up Cost: $100 Per Bar

Security
  • Security Requirements are Assessed Per Event

  • Additional Security Charges are Paid by Venue Rentor

  • Cypress Inn Restaurant Reserves the Right to Require Extra Security When Deemed Necessary

DJs, Bands, Entertainment
  • All Bands, DJs & Other Entertainment Must be Approved in Advance by Cypress Inn Restaurant & Catering

Flowers & Decor
  • White Linens Are Included in Your Rental

  • You May Bring Decorations for Tables and Chairs, Please Advise in Advance if Time is Needed to Decorate.

  • Decorations May NOT be Stapled, Taped, Tacked or Nailed to Any Part of the Building

  • Floating Candles May be Used on Guest and Food Tables

Other
  • All Evening Events Must End No Later than 10 PM

  • No Private Events May Charge a "Cover Fee", Per City of Tuscaloosa Ordinance
