The Pavilion

More than 4,000 square feet of rustic stone, The Pavilion sits next door to Tuscaloosa's iconic Cypress Inn Restaurant and both overlook the beautiful Black Warrior River. Rich woodwork and natural hues are revealed by large iron chandeliers suspended from towering, beamed ceilings. Floor-to-ceiling retractable glass doors allow for entertaining on the riverfront – without the threat of a summer shower or wintry mix. Multiple level terraces, trickling fountains and covered decks and patios invite conversation outdoors. Manicured paths beckon guests to enjoy beautifully manicured gardens along the water’s edge.

The Pavilion’s graceful and spacious design epitomizes convenience and flexibility for a variety of events including weddings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, charity functions, banquets, holiday parties and more.

Standing Only: 350 (no tables or chairs)


The Pavilion is ideal for a variety of food service styles including formal dinners, chef-assisted carving stations, buffet service, and family-style. We will work with you to create a custom menu to coordinate with your event.


No outside food vendors, caterers, or beverages (including alcohol) allowed with the exception of specialty cakes unless they are a licensed caterer and approved by Cypress Inn Pavilion Managers. Click Here for Catering Menu Options

Rental Rates (4 Hours)

Monday thru Thursday Events - $750 Rental Fee

  • Four Hours 

  • $400 Minimum Food and Beverage Spend

Friday or Saturday Weddings - $3,000 Rental Fee

  • Four Hours Event Time

  • Main Pavilion for Reception

  • Bridal Suite

  • Outdoor Deck and Patio Area

  • Tables and Chairs - 6' Rectangle, Rounds, Cake Table

  • $1,500 Minimum Food and Beverage Spend

Friday & Saturday Weddings - $4,500 Rental Fee

  • Four Hours Event Time (Both Days)

  • $2,000 Minimum Food and Beverage Spend​​

Sunday Events - $1,000 Rental Fee

  • Four Hours Event Time

  • $500 Minimum Food and Beverage Spend

Wedding Add-Ons

  • Outdoor Arbor Ceremony - $500

  • Bridal Suite - $300 

  • Cake Cutting Fee - $75 First Cake/ $130 Two Cakes (Includes Plates, Forks and Napkins)

Additional Rental Time: 10% of the room rental fee per each hour

Included in Rental Fee: Tables, chairs, buffet tables, white, black, or beige linens, Wi-Fi, stage, dance floor, wireless microphones, podium, projectors and screens, set up & break down, clean up

Deposit & Payment
  • Rental Fee and Signed Contract Required to Reserve Date and Time

  • Rental Fee is Non-Refundable 

  • All Event Charges (food charges, add-ons, etc.) Must Be Received No Later than 14 Business Days Prior to Event

  • Credit/Debit Cards will be charged a 3% convenience fee

  • A staff member is required for every 25 guests and is charged $125


Due to an increase in damages to our venue, we are now requiring a $500 damage deposit 

  • This deposit is refundable, pending no excessive or unnecessary clean up or repairs to Cypress Inn Property

  • This includes but is not limited to, damage caused by various types of decorations (candle wax, hanging of decor, or glass objects) used in and around the Cypress Inn property. 

  • Deposit may be made by check or valid credit card

  • Charges will not be applied until after the event , and pending assessment of excessive or unnecessary clean up

  • You will be charged replacement value if anyone from your event steals anything from the venue

  • You will be responsible to replace anything that is damaged or destroyed during the event

  • Cancellations Must be Received in Writing 30 days prior to your function in order to receive a refund any payments made toward the event excluding the initial rental payment, which is non-refundable. 

  • No Refund on Rental Fee

  • All Alcohol Must be Provided and Served by The Cypress Inn Restaurant in Compliance with State Law

  • Absolutely NO ALCOHOL May be Brought On Premise

  • Bar Set Up Includes Bartender, Plastic Serving Ware, Cocktail Napkins, & Mixers 

  • All Bars will Close Thirty Minutes Prior to End of Event

  • We Recommend 1 Bar Per 75-100 Guests

  • Bar Set Up Cost: $125 Per Bar

  • Security Requirements are Assessed Per Event

  • Additional Security Charges are Paid by Venue Renter

  • Cypress Inn Pavilion Reserves the Right to Require Extra Security When Deemed Necessary

DJs, Bands, Entertainment
  • All Bands, DJs & Other Entertainment Must be Approved in Advance by Cypress Inn Pavilion's Managers

Flowers & Decor
  • Decorations Must be Approved in Advance

  • Decorations May NOT be Stapled, Taped, Tacked or Nailed to Any Part of the Building

  • Floating Candles May be Used on Guest and Food Tables

  • All Evening Events Must End no Later than 1:30 AM

  • No Private Events May Charge a "Cover Fee", Per City of Tuscaloosa Ordinance
